Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications

Special Issue on:
Multimedia Systems, Mobile Computing and Global Information Sharing

The Journal of Multimedia Tools and Applications has planned a special issue on Multimedia Systems, Mobile Computing and Global Information Sharing. Interested authors are invited to submit manuscripts based on recent results.

Topics of interest consist of, but are not limited to :

Mobile network architecture,
Mobile multimedia network protocols,
Wireless packet-based broadband network support for multimedia applications,
Quality-of-Service (QoS) architectures for mobile networks,
Mobile computing devices
Data heterogeneity and interoperability in mobile computing environment,
Query and transaction processing in mobile computing environment,
Data Broadcasting issues in mobile environment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been previously published or being currently submitted for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts should include a title page containing the following information: paper title, full name(s) and affiliation(s), complete postal and electronic address(es), and telephone and fax numbers of the author(s). The author for all contacts should be  identified on the title page, as well. Manuscripts should include a 300-word abstract and a list of keywords that identify the central issues discussed in the manuscript. Electronic submission is not acceptable.

Deadlines:

MAY 1, 2000: Five copies of the manuscript is due.

AUGUST 1, 2000: Notification of acceptance / rejection.

SEPTEMBER 15, 2000: Final version of the manuscripts including the original art work, author(s) biographical information, and signed copyright forms are due.
